I highly agree.

Piracy will always exist and if a way is blocked, another will be found. Hell, is there a way to stop CD to CD copy? You know I can do that with everybody I want and yet, it's seen as "OK" because it seen as "sharing" but as long as it's not on internet. Find the problem, because it's the same thing.

So using someone else's work without paying them is not stealing? Please explain, because I am a developer. If you take my code or my end product (which are not open sourced) and then use, but do not remunerate me for my efforts, how are you not stealing my time and potential profits you would otherwise have had to provide to use the product? The laws of (most) lands say that if I choose to release my creation in a closed way and require payment to acquire, then subverting that is indeed theft. If I wanted someone to have my products for free, I would have made them that way to begin with.

The problem is, that the measures proposed will not hit piracy. They will affect normal law abiding people. Anybody who is serious about piracy can think of a dozen ways to get round it without even thinking.

Hell, I'm not even a pirate, and I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

Trouble is, it's human nature to try and grab something for nothing, so for that reason alone, piracy will always flourish.

The same principles apply, though, technically.

The owner of ThePirateBay has repeatedly said that if anti-piracy laws were ever established in Sweden his servers would be moved to another country that doesn't have the laws. It's just a cat and mouse game that will never be stopped. For one country to be against it doesn't mean shit, plus there's always a thing called a vpn.

Oh please stop with the long posts, THEY WILL NEVER GET AWAY WITH BLOCKING IT
and maybe, just maybe if things were not so overpriced people would not be involved with piracy?!

Ok so by that same logic....

The method of blocking POTENTIAL sites is the same as convicting POTENTIAL criminals.

You MIGHT be a rapist one day so we should just chops your genitals off!
