Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

I have read posts while surfing that say many of these utilities do not work in Windows 7 64 bit. Should I wait to install these utilities until all are compatible with my 64 bit OS?

If I could find a book store around where I live I would buy it. I don't use credit cards and such things.
