    Next XBox: End of Windows?

Insider sources are suggesting that Microsoft has some pretty big plans for its PC, phone, and console businesses in the future. Of particular note is the idea that all three - and tablets and TVs besides - might all end up running the same version of Windows.

I can't see them dropping that brand. But who knows.

Been with Windows since 3.1, never mac or linux...well i have tried them out, suffered through all the growing pains of knowing we were going somwhere good. Now that we are there, Windows 7 and looking forward to 8, do away with all those years and tears of evolution and growth...get real!

The day Windows ends is the day I resort to Linux, or continue using the older Windows Operating Systems.

@Boastree: 3.1 was "DLL Hell," how did you manage?
