Will Microsoft buy Nokia? Should they?

In the wake of Google’s bid for Motorola, some analysts are arguing that Microsoft should snap up Nokia. But why would they want to do that?

Almost exactly three years ago, just before the Windows 7 beta made its public debut, I asked Should Microsoft get into the PC hardware business? Now I’m hearing the same question again—but this time it’s not about PCs. It’s about phones.

Nokia may be a big chunk to swallow. But RiM would be a good option.

MS doesn't need to buy Nokia, Nokia is already in Microsoft's Pocket.

RIM isn't small either. Also, RIM's BBM technology will be in no way beneficial to MS until they port it to WP7 OS.

As a shareholder in MSFT I'm tempted to say yes but NOK has gone from almost $40 to $6 in less than three years. So something isn't right with the business. As long as they don't overpay MSFT should consider it.

I think Microsoft SHOULD buy Nokia, they could link it in with Windows Phone, as long as it is at the right price, Microsoft should go ahead!
