    Microsoft Store Revealed

    Last Updated: 25 Aug 2009 at 01:54
Neowin is showing the new layout for the new Microsoft Store for those who are interested. Gizmodo received a PowerPoint Presentation showing the possible layout of the new stores. This information is also available on Gizmodo. Gizmodo has the full PowerPoint presentation photos on it site. There are about forty pictures. :)

Looks pretty nice, but no locations have been posted as of yet. Hopefully more information will be coming soon.

Quite sure there probably won't be one choose to "Hooterville USA", so that means I'll have to drive five-hundred miles to Seattle (Redmond) to find one.

In other words....Welcome to Apple Store 2.0 , looks exactly the way my Apple Store is laid out in the mall, what did Microsoft do? hire the same contractors and designers from Apple? and instead of "Genius Bar" they have "Guru Bar", now THAT'S creativity from Microsoft!

It's a design that works, and last time I checked you can't copyright a store design (unless maybe if it's really really unique).

The Apple Store near me has some similar characteristics, but I wouldn't call it "exactly" the same; not by a long shot.

Also, "Guru" signifies more knowledge than "Genius". Way to go, Microsoft!!

It does look JUST like the Apple store, but it is different enough to work. Whatever.

At least they probably wont make you sign up for a time to get help.

haha they used google sketch-up for this...not even Revit
BTW this is the typical layout of a library computer room that big libraries have been using forever.

I don't see a real resemblance to the Apple Store. it's just a good design. And the wall-encompassing screens are amazing. Looks way more awesome then the already cool apple store.
