Google Will Soon Encrypt All Your Searches

If I understand that correctly, rubes like me who just do searches from Google.com will not have searches encrypted? I think I have some sort of a Google account but haven't logged into it in a year or two---and probably would not just to search.

Not if you use HTTPS Everywhere for Firefox, it'll switch to https when available; like Google search...

Seriously...
Most of the web filtering solution nowadays can terminate SSL connection for the purpose of filtering web content.
