Windows 7 RTM Available Today for MSDN & TechNet Subscr

    Posted: 06 Aug 2009
As we previously announced, today MSDN & TechNet Subscribers will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English. On October 1st, the remaining languages will be released.

    The bits are available now!

And tomorrow, our Volume License (VL) customers with an existing Software Assurance (SA) license will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English via the Volume License Service Center (VLSC). In a few weeks, the remaining languages will become available to them. If you are a VL customer without a SA license, you will be able to purchase Windows 7 through Volume Licensing on September 1st.

For more information on Windows 7 Availability, please see this blog post. The post has been updated - including a nice chart.

family pack isn't a different iso... It's just 3 copies of Windows 7 Home Premium.

I'm currently downloading from Technet as we speak. I just got home this was my first chance.

Even tho I'm sure there site is very busy, I'm still getting good download speeds of 800 kb/s to 1.5MB/s as well. so it's speeding right along.

    I'm exited.

Me too. I started the 64-bit download around 6 PM and it's only 29% done... bleah... download speeds are about 400-900 kbps. I got better speeds from downloading RC images via torrent. And I'm on 6 Mbps download cable ISP as well.

I have the 32-bit queued just in case, but it may be Saturday before it's finished.
