It's about time something was done about mitigating "added value". OEM's obviously have their heads in the sand (or somewhere) if they truely believe crapware is anything of value. With the negative impact much of it has on system performance, Windows always gets the blame among the less informed and savvy.

I always wipe a new laptop or desktop right away. I then install all of the latest drivers and the programs that I need and thats it. Keeping the install clean and stream line is the best way to go. If Microsoft wants to clean this up do what Apple does with there installs. Have a options menu on first boot and select what you want to be installed. THis woul mean that the end user could choose to have the OEM software installed or not to.
