I just tried this out, Live Mesh Beta that is, from my work computer. Its nice to access my home computer from here if I want to.
My question is, how long is this going to be free? This is MS we are talking about, so I do not expect it to be free forever. Does anyone know?

It'll always be free, at least to some extent. I mean, Live Essentials is free, Hotmail is free, Live Search is free, Sky Drive is free....need I go on?

They may eventually have a paid version (more space, etc.) but I think you can rest assured it will stay free to some extent.
