You can see mine is 000F Hiyya Derek thats a real neat feature / function - thanks but I found mine is 0309! and I thought I had changed it when I installed it but obviously not. So perhaps it might explain the couple of blueys I've had lately? | My System Specs |

Some are not pleased with 000F firmware so I guess that's your decision to make.
I would want to know the cause of the BSOD's if I were you though. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq sr5410f case OS Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1 CPU AMD X2 4450E @ 2.3 ghz Motherboard Biostar MCP6P M2+ Memory 4.0 g Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT , 512mb Sound Card onboard Monitor(s) Displays auria eq2367 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard logitech wave cordless Mouse logitech LX8 cordless laser mouse PSU 250 watts Case Compaq Cooling couple fans Hard Drives 1 tb Hitachi HDT721010SLA scsi, 500 gb external Internet Speed comcast hi speed 19 dn 8 up Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser IE10 Other Info Laptop specs: HP g7-1365dx /

Ok Derek I'll take a shot of the next bluey - it was one of those Windows encountered a problem ones and I didn't have my camera with me at the time. I did a sweep with the Microsoft Malicious remover but it came up with nothing - that was because shortly before the blue I got a message when looking at mail to say there had been some suspicious activity on the machine.
I rebooted and nothing else happened the only thing I had to do was reset my ID and password in Windows Live.
The firmware I shall leave as is but probably this is the last Crucial I shall buy - my Samsung 830's are performing better anyway. I have yet to test the SanDisk yet so that will be interesting and I'll be doing that soon as I want to try the beta 2013 Kaspersky ISS on another test machine.

John, for the BSOD's it would be better for you to post in the crashes thread. This will tell you how, it has much more info than the blue screen. Yeah, it's like most benchmarks - what it scores and what you notice are usually two separate things.
It's still quick and stable and that's all that matters in the end. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Systems by SmartEyeball OS 8 Pro x64 CPU i7 3770K 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS P8Z77 WS Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz Graphics Card 3x Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WindForce *TRI SLI* Sound Card ALC898 / 5.1 receiver/ ATH-AD900 Headphones Monitor(s) Displays x3 Dell U2410 / 58" Samsung / "40 Sony Screen Resolution 5760*1200/ 1920*1200 / 1920*1080 Keyboard Topre Realforce // Ducky Shine MX Black // Filco Ninja TKL Mouse Razer Imperator + Thermaltake Theron PSU Corsair AX1200W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives 2x Intel 520 240GB (RAID 0) * 2x WD Caviar Blacks 2TB (RAID 0) * 2TB WD Caviar Black Antivirus MSE Browser IE, FF Other Info GT Extreme V2 Sim Racing Cockpit + 40" LCD and K/B Mouse stand ▼

To be honest I have Samsung 830's in my other machines and it is hard to pick which is the quickest - M4 or 830 - you'd have to be a machine to see anything different in speed.
I am looking forward to testing a SanDisk Extreme in the next test build - will be interesting to see how it shapes up cos the ad figure as match the Samsung as far as I can make out. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Own build (new) Desk1 / Toshiba L550 / Desk2 1st build OS Desk1 7 Home Prem / Desk2 7 Home Prem / Laptop 7 Pro all 64bit CPU Desk1 i5 3750K / Laptop i5 430m / Desk2 i5 2500 Motherboard Desk1 Asus P877-V / Desk2 Gigabyte H67 UD3H / Laptop ?
