Free Win 7 w. Full Key By Attending free launch event

    Posted: 15 Aug 2009
Looking for free copy of Windows 7? Now is your chance to take home a copy of genuine Windows 7 Professional edition, complete with genuine valid product key to activate the operating system permanently. Microsoft is hosting many of The New Efficiency launch events for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 in numerous major cities nationwide (US). The free events are targeted at IT professionals and developers, and all attendees will receive a free Windows 7 at the event.

Registration is free while seats are still available. See link below for more details.

Basically it looks like anyone who wants can register as long as slots are still available. I don't think they do any real checking. I do a bit of IT consulting so I registered for one of the events. I attended a launch event for XP many years ago and it was kind of fun. Got a bunch of free tee shirts and pens etc. Getting a free copy of W7 Pro sounds better, although I already have Ultimate through Technet.

You are supposed to be a IT Pro but I don't think any checking is done. I went to a similar launch event for XP and I was less of a IT person then than I am now. I just registered for one of these events on the chance I will be able to be in the event city on the date of the event. Not because I need the free copy of Win 7, since I have Technet, but I enjoyed the XP event and I'm sure this one will be kind of fun too. (I still have some of those, now "vintage," XP tee shirts still NIB. :) Maybe they'll be collectible some day. )

Just fill in whatever you choose for "title" and "company." They don't even require a phone number or address to register, afaicr. Also, you can cancel your registration at any time before the event.

These are going to fill up (i.e., be "sold out") fast so if at all interested, I would go for it now.

Typical UK and Europe get ignored as well as ripped off.
Anyone would think we weren't an important market to MS.
Prices for W7 are I:I on the dollar. Whilst I know the pound has lost value against the dollar recently it still isn't one to one.
Anyway, why aren't they holding promos in Europe?

I am signed up in the Detroit area. If anybody wants to meet up while there, just send me a PM and we can arrange something.

Note: The date listed for the Detroit class on the MyDigitalLife page says Oct 28...however during the actual registration the date is Wednesday Oct 7, 2009.
