My students are reporting that it takes a full 24 hours +. This indicates batch payment processing at ACM.org

Regarding the licensing of the available software I found the following:
    http://msdn01.e-academy.com/elms/Sto...p1=17&np2=25#6
Q: Does the license (or "key") permanently unlock the software?
A: No - the key allows you to install the software once. If you need to re-install the software, you will need to contact the PA (Program Administrator) at your school. Your PA's contact email information can be found in the support page. To view this information, please click on the Support button above.

Couldn't you make an image of the activated software and just revert back to that if you have a problem?

I dont think so because it all depends on the key, which according to that post above mine can only be used once.

This is if you get it directly from MSDN if I'm not mistaken, but I know for sure 100% that if your keys/keys are genuine, MS will do whatever (even bend for you) to get your OS running. I have many friends who would simply call up MS via the simple 800 numbers and get new keys for whatever reasons (too many format/re-installation, change of hardwares..etc) and 100% of the time, they were all given new keys instantly over the phone if MS can validates your genuine key/keys and I'm sure keys from ACM/MSDN are all genuine.

I paid the $19 just for convenience sake, cause eventually I will get the "Educational" copy for free, this "Educational" version has been around since W98 if I'm not mistaken and we have been using the "Educational" keys for W2000/XP and Vista, lol and there is no activation/validation craps as compare to the retail version. Soon or later "keys" for the "Educational" version of Windows 7 will be out (if not already).

No...it means make sure when you activate it that you have it set up just the way you want it....and then as Spliff says.....make an image straight away so you can re-install if you need to.
