Yes, because its fraud that people are trying to get something for nothing by using this by other than intended use for legitimate students. This is just another program that MS offers that is being exploited by many people trying to Windows 7 + keys, thus why I reported the other thread that was made few days ago that was removed by the forum staff.
But Im a student so should I use this then?

No...it means make sure when you activate it that you have it set up just the way you want it....and then as Spliff says.....make an image straight away so you can re-install if you need to.
    Yes, very true!

No matter what OS you use, after the initial installation (before installing any other software) and validation, ALWAYS use a simple GHOST/Image to image that OS only partition, and should you need to format/re-install or for whatever reasons (spy wares/viruses)...simply image back that GHOST/Image you created, it's so easy/simply and no time wasted to re-install or worry about re-activations etc!

Thank you for your interest in the ACM/Developer AA Partnership Program. This program is an ACM Student Member Benefit only, available to current Student Members of ACM. If you've just joined ACM, you will have access to this feature once your payment is processed.
I called my Computer Science professor before I did this and he told me that he knows about this and that I am eligable to do it since I am part of my university's ACM Chapter.

They found my name in the database and rang it up, all I need now is for my payment to process!

Don't worry they check if you're student or not, that's why it's taking so long with the payment approval. :)

I don't know why you say this program is being exploited by many people.
You have to be a student other wise you not gonna get msdnaa access.

Regarding the licensing of the available software I found the following:
    http://msdn01.e-academy.com/elms/Sto...p1=17&np2=25#6
Q: Does the license (or "key") permanently unlock the software?
A: No - the key allows you to install the software once. If you need to re-install the software, you will need to contact the PA (Program Administrator) at your school. Your PA's contact email information can be found in the support page. To view this information, please click on the Support button above.
This is not about the Windows OS. It's about the other software they have for download.

I don't think they check. Under "Do you belong to an ACM Student Chapter?" I checked no.

That's about if you are already ACM member. They ask what school you go to when you register.

I can gurantee you guys that they don't check anything at all, 100% sure here. All they demand is $19. Give it to them and you are free to go.

So basically, it is an exploit here, just about paying much less than we should. Not so much a very bad exploit though.
