This is terrible and just wrong on so many levels! I feel sorry for you guys in the USA... no doubt we will eventually get it over here in UK.
Why don't they just get on with it and microchip us all and put CCTV cameras in out homes...just to make sure we are not doing anything we are not supposed to! Here in the UK we apparently have the highest number o f CCTV cameras than anywhere in the world and each person gets an average of over 300 CCTV appearances per day... so our government will no doubt love this. | My System Specs | | |

The UK is extreme, it wouldn't be because they are a predominantly right wing nation ? In Canada we are more Left wing, although most people got hood winked by the Right in the past election, now we have a Right Wing government. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows8 CPU Core2Quad (2.6 Ghz) Motherboard nVidia 775 Memory 8 Gigs DDR2 Graphics Card Geforce 480 (1.5 gigs) Sound Card Motherboard Audio Monitor(s) Displays 22" Samsung LCD Screen Resolution 1680x1050 PSU 850 Watts Hard Drives 120 Gig SSD

I have had my rights infringed. I only found out by sheer chance. It has happened to me more than once.
Ask around others in the business - and you can get similar stories.
If you are lucky enough to find out - and if you have the proof, and you approach the company concerned - they simply pay up what they should have paid in the first place.
Often it involves using your work in a foreign country. It is extremely unlikely you would find out - only if you happened to have a friend who was in that country at the time - that friend just happened to see your work - then reported back to you. Preferably your friend should get some kind of proof as well - but they would only do that if they understood the business - otherwise it would not cross their minds to do so.
If you don't find out - you never get paid.
These are not tiny sums - typically £1000-£5000.
I am convinced I have been ripped off tens of thousands this way.
Companies have nothing to lose by doing it - in the unlikely event you find out - they pay up. Otherwise they don't. It is that simple.
I am not talking about spotty teenagers in their bedroooms downloading a few songs.
These are companies ( corporations in American).
I have never heard of this guy - but his podcast is interesting - about 4m10s in : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znm-d...eature=related | My System Specs | | OS Vista x64 / 7 X64 CPU E8400 Motherboard ASRock 1333 GLAN R2.0 Memory 2x1 gb 800mhz Graphics Card 9500gt 1gb Case Coolermaster Cooling Winpower 500w Hard Drives Maxtor 160gb-2mb cache |

But the media is by law supposed to be truthful, so I anticipate that the cause and affect will be swift and Harper would fail. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Apple 17" iMac MA199LL (Early 2006) OS Windows 8 Pro (32-bit) CPU 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo Memory 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) (upgrade) Graphics Card ATI Radeon X1600 with 128MB GDDR3 memory Monitor(s) Displays 17-inch TFT active-matrix LCD, millions of colors Screen Resolution 1440 x 900 Keyboard Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 Mouse Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0 Hard Drives Hitachi 320GB HDT721032SLA360 7200RPM SATA II (upgrade) Internet Speed 4 Mbps Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser Google Chrome Other Info WEI:

Left wing...right wing, they both are attached to the same bird. They may not flap in sync, but ultimately they will arrive at the same destination. If anyone complains about the route, they simply point a feather at the other wing. They stay aloft by plucking the feathers of others. Make no mistake, I do have my own bias, which may not always be in sync with the with the true rhythm being flapped out, but then I doubt that most people's are. We are all on a strange migration, that has taken many years just to approach our destinations, but we shall land soon. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter
