Microsoft has been extremely secretive about the launch details but according to Foley company officials have begun sending out invites to bloggers and the media:

"We also wanted to let you know that you will be receiving an invitation to a Microsoft event in NYC on October 22nd to celebrate the availability and launch of Windows 7. With Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer speaking and exciting new hardware from our partners, we're looking forward to sharing Windows 7 with the world."

Also attending the Denver launch. Looking forward to returning to one of my favorite cities.

However....ChuckR, the launch is on the Thursday the 24th in Denver and not on Saturday the 26th. Check your email registration confirmation.

Righto! Checked calendar, after the 'mini-seizure', and realized my confusion.

24th is correct date. 28th is appt with my personal vascular trainer (4 days to play, in between).

Don't know where 26th came from - unimportant guesstimation I suppose.

Thanks, bobtran for being so observant, and willing to post.

Was going to print tickets, etc ~ 20th, but will do much sooner,
pre-anticipating the crash that will probably occur on the 18th or 19th...

Printer down, Kinko visit, USB stick. My average day...
