On board graphics seems to me has always been for the mainstream consumer who doesn't really require a dedicated card. Or the low level workstation at some cubicle in an office somewhere.
People like my Parents or my brother who only use their computer for internet and streaming video. The dedicated cards are almost exclusively targeted to gamers and heavy media users.
With all this being said ,I still agree the Average Joe won't be able to tell but to the train eye and gamer the feel will be much different
Load times are obviously different response time etc
This is what i look for when i either get Onboard or a dedicated Gpu
Onboard graphics work well to a point then lags and maybe some glitching studdering while playing demading games /This would be actually at regular settins to make it run smoother you have to drop everything to Med or Low quality which in the end sucks
Having a dedicated Gpu would be abetter choice if you are someone who can tell the difference it may look nice but try to run something demading then the stuffing will come out of the Turkey persay
I could just imagine people who are unaware of the potential of onboad intergrated graphics that will be dispointed and won't be able to return the product and will be forced to upgrade to parts that will make it work so in turn unless you really have no use for anykind of video would be cool but someone who doesn't know will be very unhappy in the end
It will end up costing the consumer more for not looking at better graphic options because lack of knowledge
