    Facebook experiences apparent outage

    Facebook was down for brief time this evening, and some users are still complaining of sluggishness on the site.

    The outage appears to have begun around 4:26 p.m., according to flood of tweets by Facebook users complaining that they were unable to access the site.

    Yeah, the world is ending. All of a sudden, nothing else matters than keeping Facebook alive, not PIPA, not SOPA, not anything. Just leave Facebook alone.

    Facebook Suffers Downtime; Anonymous Mocks


    Users around the world began complaining on Twitter last night that they were unable to access the social network. The complaints continued early Friday morning.

    And Anonymous, a well-known hacker collective, is taking credit for the off-and-on service failures.
