I love my WHS, it's the most trouble-free PC experience I've ever had. (Once I got the finicky program installed but that's a different story.) I only reboot about once a month or so when I manually run updates. I wish all my PCs were this low maintenance.
I have it and its great, but it keeps saying that my computers have no antivirus......

I've been meaning to give it a look. I've got it available on my MSDN subscription, but haven't taken the time to install or use it yet.
I do run a dedicated file server box at home that houses all of my "data". It's got a pair of drives that are synced every few hours to each other. Then about once per week, they are moved onto external hard drives and moved off site.
As far as my desktops go, they are easy enough to just reinstall the OS on and the handful of apps that I use. And with Win7 having a nice system image available, I can easily use that to get back to my OS and base drivers very quickly.
Thus, I just haven't had the need for the functionality of Windows Home Server....and my current file server runs a free OS...so no cost to maintain that.
