Yeah, I got that via Windows Update in my Windows 8 virtual machine... I seldom use Outlook, but was nice to get that just in case...
It looks like some users may have experienced an issue in Outlook 2013 related to data loss. Microsoft released a critical update to fix this, and I was notified via email about it. The email specifies:
Support article: Description of the Office Professional Plus 2013 Preview update: July 27, 2012Dear Office Preview Customer,
Thank you for your recent download of Office Professional Plus 2013 Preview.
We wanted to inform you that we have released a critical update for Office Professional Plus 2013 Preview. This update addresses a potential data loss issue in Outlook related to the unintentional deletion of mail, contacts and calendar items from the Exchange Server. We strongly recommend you install the update if you are using Outlook as part of the Office 2013 Preview.

It sounds like a serious problem. Luckily, I don't rely that heavily on emails (even for business) to need Outlook as a part of Office.

For a moment I freaked out when I read "calendar items" because I keep work shift schedules in there, but it was a derp: I just use the Calendar app in the Start Screen. At first glance I wasn't sure if it was related to that as well xD
I didn't get an email or the update in windows update, but have installed the patch now.
