- Removing the protocol info from the Address bar.

In my experience, Firefox operating problems seem to be confined to the Windows versions.

Firefox never misbehaves when I'm running it in Ubuntu 10.04.

At least you can still customise Firefox (unlike other browsers).
Internet browsing is awful without NoScript.
