Microsoft and Intel won't do it but I would. Whats that you ask.
I would take care of the products I have in the EU market and leave the market. Let the EU customers deal with Mac/Apple or who ever and $3000.00 laptops. It wouldn't be long and I think these billion dollar lawsuites would go away. EU customers don't have now or the in the future a problem with selecting the chip they use or what browser they want to use. They don't need their/there government giving them options they already have. I use two browsers and didn't need a government to help make the decision. I chose Intel without any government assistance. I chose Windows 7/64 all by my self. The people in the EU will be happy to make their/there own choices without the government.

That is exactly what Intel and Microsoft are thinking. I believe that it would be short term pain for both companies and long term it gain. But companies normal in this country think short term in such matters. When the EU is taking billions of dollars from you for bull droppings reason it's time to put the big foot down. What other companies does the EU make advertise choices of the competitors products within their own product. It's time to get mean. The rest of the world outside of the EU is paying the price of these billion dollar lawsuits in the price of the products.
My post on this subject are not intended to belittle, insult or degrade any government, country, company or anybody reading them. They are just my opinion.

That is one of the points. The larger the market the larger amount of customers will be screaming to the governing bodies to mind their/there own business and let the customers make their/there own decisions. The EU economy can't take a big hit from huge companies and their/there customers. It's a great time to play hard ball. I have complete faith in the people of the EU to be able to use their/there own judgment to make such decisions on what product to buy and how to buy them and from who to buy them from.

Well said, John. I'm perfectly capable of making MY OWN decisions without some pillocks in gravy trains doing it for me. Not only that, I trust myself far more than I trust them (which shouldn't be very difficult, as I don't trust them at all).
