I wonder if it will be possible to turn off "Smart Selection".

IE10 preview for Windows 7 arriving tomorrow, report says

Quote:
The Internet Explorer wait appears to be over for Microsoft loyalists.

A new preview version of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 will be available tomorrow, according to LiveSide, a site that follows Windows Live.

The site got its information from a Chinese technology blog, iFanr, which attended an IE10 media press event in Beijing today. iFanr cited comments from a Microsoft executive, who announced the imminent release of the preview version of the browser.

A Microsoft spokesperson declined to comment, saying the company doesn't talk about rumors or speculation.

It might be a old Chinese proverb. Don't count your I.E.'s before they hatch.

I wonder if IE10 ...

I wonder if IE10 will break my one-and-only browser toolbar?

Firefox rendered it useless after FF4 (it's the only reason I start IE9 these days).

Half the November is gone, there is no news on IE10 for Windows 7. Are you sure they didn't mean November 2013?

Haven't tried it in Win 7 yet, and am not particularly overcome with rapture over the Win 8 Metro version.

But the Win 8 'legacy' desktop version of IE10 is a ripper.

Best browser ever? Probably not.

But it IS the best of what's currently available.

(And yes, I HAVE tried them, and do also use FireFox).
