Many errors and crashes are caused by RAM, just a fact of physical devices, they can't be made perfectly.
These can be intermittent and end up being blamed on other things. They also can cause file corruption.
These errors can be influenced by power, just happens to be the two leading causes of hardware crashes.
RAM and PSUs.
