Windows XP turns 11, still not dead yet Quote: On the same day Microsoft loudly proclaims Windows 8 in New York, the aging-but-still-going Windows XP today quietly celebrated its 11th birthday.
On Oct. 25, 2001, Microsoft launched Windows XP, unknowingly unleashing its most successful operating system ever. Source

XP reminds me of the old Buick. There/their was a time when you said Microsoft others would say XP. Many years ago when one said Buick others would say Duce and a Quarter. They both were great for their/there time and us with some years on us can fondly remember both of them. They were the cats meow. May they both rest in peace in collectors show rooms. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home made Desktop OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. WLE Photogallery goes berserk in Windows 7 (because of the b@&%$# Libraries ).
WLE Photogallery is controllable in XP, as XP doesn't have Libraries. Lost technology of the ancients.
