And Linux has come a long way from the old command line system to Mint. Plus they have the advantage of a clear seperation of mobile with Android and the other Linux distros for the PC. | My System Specs |

Nice pick-up Greg. The only problem these days is that they kill you with electronic gadgets and a gezillion switches plus 2 screens with another gezillion settings. Half of the time the car controls the driving - not you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

And Linux has come a long way from the old command line system to Mint. Plus they have the advantage of a clear seperation of mobile with Android and the other Linux distros for the PC. I once worked for a Multi National Company in Indianapolis and they had a special arrangement with M$ as we were using Windows 95 to run special in house software to run a prototype TV and this was years after 95 was discontinued and one of the engineers needed something fixed and M$ did what ever it was with a special patch. I assume it cost the company somewhere but is was most likely cheaper than rewriting the software that ran the TV to work on 2000. We tried 98 and that would not run the program either.

I can't fathom what it would take in hardware, programs and training for a large company or organization to jump from XP to Windows 8.
