And the irony is most of the "corporate environments" that the software would be of use, dont allow users to install the software. :P

Ha! No biggie. The only thing that keeps me from desintalling iTunes is the music store. Everytime they ask for an update, I say NO. Also desactivated all the f***ing services that goes along : Bonjour and all.

And now they join that crap along? Gwahahaha Not installing on my machine.

The only reason I have iTunes is because I can't find better podcatching software.

I tried Winamp, but it has this nasty problem with only downloaded a few minutes of each podcast, making it less than desirable.

Also many podcasts I like are only available through iTunes.

Truly awful! That is why I never install any apple software on my pc any more...I tunes and quick time bugged the hell out of me as they always seem to coem with a load of other crap I didn't want. I just use the dopisp plug in for WMP to sync music with my i-pod now. Much easier!

launching the apple update manager for me also had safari and the 'mobile me control panel' checked for install. Its weird but now it isn't doing it, it was only when I updated itunes.
