Can we expect Kaspersky AV Free edition , NOD32 Free...etc... That should be interesting. I suspect that they will continue to tout their excellent programs, without going the free route.
I don't see Microsoft killing them, just winging them a bit. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway, Toshiba Laptop, and Home Brew OS Windows 7 x64 HP, Windows 7 HP, Windows 7 Ult CPU Intel I3, Cerelon, Pentium 4 @ 3Ghz Motherboard Intel, Intel, Asus Memory 8G, 3G, 3G Graphics Card On-board Intel, On-board nVidia, nVIDIA card Sound Card on-board, on-board, SoundBlaster Monitor(s) Displays Hannspree HF237, Toshiba, SyncMaster 931B Screen Resolution default (all) Keyboard standard wired (all) Mouse standard wired (all) PSU 300w, unk, 650w Case black, black, grey Cooling air (all) Hard Drives 1T internal, 320G internal, 160G internal, 1T networked Internet Speed 6M down, 768K up Other Info Home LAN through Linksys hub to 4 port and wireless switch/router. yeah I love how it actually is a quick scan. No more than 10 minutes, compared to other vendors 'quick' scans of half an hour or more. And that was just just the first install scan, every subsequent scan has been shorter! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron 1545 OS Windows 7 build 7100 x86 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1GHz Motherboard GM45 chipset Memory 3GB Graphics Card Intel(TM) Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD Sound Card Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays 15.6" WLED 720p Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 320GB 5400rpm hard drive |
