I have a question about ready boost and scratch disks. Is it the same thing or what?
I got a tip from eee forums to put your scratch disk on the sd card, but how would that work if I'm also using ready boost on the sd card?

I use it on my old system all day every day. With only 512 MB RAM it make a BIG difference.
Copernicus....I don't know what you are talking about "scratch disks" I have never heard of that. Do you mean using scratched disks in the CD drive?
Do you really need more than 4 GB of memory on a low-powered system?
If you're running a low-powered system, there is simply no way you can use all of your existing ram, let's say 1 GB, and another 4 GB. Much less even 2 GB of RAM. The other components of the system would be too stressed, such as the hard drive or the processor.
Since I have 4gb actual ram, I figure that Ill stick to using 4gb readyboost to match.
