Whats inside the Windows 7 Party Pack ?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2009
Scratch what I said before, today I just received Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (for FREE!).
This post could be interpreted as an ode to the fantastic customer service you can receive from Microsoft. Actually scratch that, this post IS an ode to the fantastic customer service you can receive from Microsoft.
You can stop rubbing your eyes, it’s true.
About two weeks ago I happened upon a news item stating Microsoft were to celebrate the launch of Windows 7 worldwide by offering potential customers the opportunity to host their own Windows 7 launch parties. For your troubles (and assuming you were successful in being selected to host a launch party) you would receive a whole host of goodies in your ‘party pack’.
The official line was a mixed bag but was satisfactory although ultimately disappointing. I was not expecting to be graciously offered a USA Party Pack for gratis though!
Included in the pack was the following:

    • Windows 7 tote bags
    • Windows 7 branded napkins
    • Puzzle Pack
    • Windows 7 Playing Cards
    • Colour poster
    • A FULL copy of Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (Steve Ballmer Signature Edition).
More on the news and whats in the Box...

    This makes me Soo Jealous.
Congratz to all the guys who recieved this

Wow... very nice pack... a lot of things... Is that a mouse pad?

Very beautiful box from signature edition... so, is only 32bit?

Would like to see more details from the inside of the signature edition package...

I would think they would give you enough to hand out to your guests. That would be a great marketing hit. They should have gotten the party host kit a little stronger, and given enough copies of W7 for your guests.

I kninda understand what you are saying, but they do want to actually generate some sales too... you give everyone who goes to a 'Win 7 party' a copy of the software no one will actually need to purchase the damned thing!

I think Microsoft have done more than enough with this effort....

Calm down sir.. just an observation. Pretty sure people would have found a work round to get more 'parties' and more 'attendees' had MS offered a copy for anyone going. I think it would have no doubt had an impact on sales.

Personally i think the pack is more than enough. You disagree. Simples.

Look closely at the first picture, the disk in the white envelope is the 64 bit disk.
