Skype shows 0 resources being used for me.
I remember when Msoft purchased Skype for 8.5 billion last May 2011, figured they would change over eventually. I received the email with the link for the upgrade this morning. | My System Specs |

Ha... glad I uninstalled Messenger and replaced with Skype... I rarely used Messenger on the last year or so... O_O

I was personally using it but, even though, I was connected, I was rarely chatting. But, the main reason why I used Messenger (2009) was because how useful it was regarding e-mail notifications. If I had a new e-mail coming in, a popup would appear and if I clicked it, it would open a new tab immediately in Firefox. If I missed that notification, there was the button in upper right corner showing a (1) so I would click on it and get to my new e-mail. That's the only thing I would miss it for. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom build OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 CPU Core i7 950 3.06 GHz Motherboard Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Memory Corsair XSM3 6GB 1333MHz DDR3 9-9-9-24 Graphics Card Asus nVidia GeForce GTX460 Factory Overclocked Sound Card HT-Omega Claro 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays Asus VW246H 24" Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech K350 Mouse Logitech M510 PSU Xigmatek NRP-PC702 700W (cable hell) Case Lian-Li Lancool PC-K62 Cooling Stock fans for PC case, Cooler Master Hyper N520 for CPU Hard Drives 1x90GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD (System, internal)

As much as I like Messenger, I seldom use it. I have accounts on both and I very much prefer Skype so this news is good for me. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 |

I used to use WLM, but I only used the Windows Messenger ID for my e-mails, however they seem to already have switched the Hotmail interface to the Outlook version. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion dm1 Notebook PC OS Windows 7 Home Premium x86 Service Pack 1 - Linux Mint Mate 14 x64 CPU AMD E-450 APU (64-Bit) @ 1.65GHz Dual-Core Motherboard HP 3387 36.0A (Socket FT1) Memory 4GB DDR3 @ 676MHz Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics Sound Card Beats Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Monitor(s) Displays LCD HP Monitor Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 @ 60Hz Keyboard Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Synaptics TouchPad V 7.5/Logitech USB Wireless PSU Microsoft Composite Battery - ACPI Case HP Cooling HP Cool Sense Hard Drives 500GB - SATA Hitachi HTS547550A9E384 Internet Speed 24.0 Mbps Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser Opera Other Info NIC - Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter
