MoreWindows 7 may be Microsoft’s most anticipated product ever. It builds on Windows Vista’s positives, and eliminates many of that OS’s negatives. It adds new functionality, too—all in a package that is less resource-hungry than its predecessor.
And whether or not you're upgrading from Vista or skipping it altogether and moving up from Windows XP, you'll need to know how to make the most of it in your environment. Here are 77 tips and tricks to get you there.
Update: Woops - didn't see the OP. My apologies to "The Schaft" - but at least it bumped this valuable information back to the front page.

Welcome to SevenForums, bre1948 !
All the folks here are dedicated to helping other people. We've all "been there, done that", and hope that passing along the lessons learned and the info we have found makes it a bit easier for the next person.
You may be a newbie with Windows 7, but you will probably find that you have some insights to pass along that will make life easier for someone. :)
P.S. Check out the Tutorials section for a lot of good help and pointers.
The tips are a good place to start, but the tutorials are solid gold. (Tutorials - Windows 7 Forums)
The list of free programs (FREE Great Programs for Windows 7) is also something to check - since they have been tested by folks here, they have more credibility (IMHO) than any reviews.
That was a good read. I especially like the tip about "Put it on old stuff" and installing it everywhere. I try to get people installing it on Netbooks that run XP, as I put Windows 7 on mine, and it runs without a hitch.
Thank you, some nice info in there. I'm always happy to find shortcuts to features I use from time to time. Some of those apps can be are hard to find. Even if you think you know what you are doing.
Well played Schaft... thanks
