Microsoft moves Outlook.com out of preview
Quote: Six months after it first unveiled Outlook.com, Microsoft will start phasing out its Hotmail and begin moving users over to its new product.
Microsoft announced Tuesday that its Outlook.com browser-based e-mail service has moved out of its preview stage and is now available globally.

My Dear Wife's (DW's) sister has been having problems with her hotmail tonight. I sent her tests through hotmail and she was receiving them with an outlook.com server tag.
I haven't heard from my brother yet. Quote: Users who don't switch over on their own will be upgraded in waves to the new product automatically starting this week. Mehta said that the process should finish by the summer, though he declined to name an exact date.
