Any news on a SP2 for Windows 7? It is sourly needed. Don't need any new functions just need all those updates slipstreamed into the install. Maybe that is what part of "windoze blue" is for 7 users?

Report: No Service Pack 2 for Windows 7
Microsoft has no plans for a second Windows 7 Service Pack ? The Register

Basically, no Windows 7 SP2 because that would just make Windows 7 compete even more with Windows 8 (and, presumably, with Windows Blue).

Thanks King Arthur, I am just looking for a way to speed up the install process. You have to download several updates in batches, reboot. Update to the updates and so on. If M$ is not going to release a SP2 is there any way to download all the updates and roll them into a home made SP so no one can hack the PC whilst you are downloading the patches? Are there any tech heads here that have any ideas?

Perhaps slipstreaming SP1 and all other recent updates?
