hahaha, thats it thanks gary, i didnt have sp1 on the desktop, ive mostly been using a laptop the last couple of years, desktop became a home theater pc taken over by the kids.

finally windows is now configuring the sp1 update.

auto update was turned on so why it didnt install years ago i have no idea, wont be long now then i can get the other 90 fixes done!!!

that would be telling,

updates all done and working fine, i actually see improvements , next thing i may do is sort out all the crap that is installed that slow it down,
poor thing has been quite neglected.

What improvements have you noticed. I've had it on 24 hours and can't say I have noticed anything at all.
