I read about this in an Adobe release note and was not a happy camper. In essence you are perpetually renting the software on a month by month basis. I upgraded from CS5.5 to 6 and (for me anyway) it was a waste of money. So if you always need or want the latest software then renting may be the way to go but for many others it works out far more expensive in the longer term.

Maybe one day there will be an acceptable alternative to InDesign.

Windows Blue IMO doesn't improve any user experience on non touch based PCs though I like the little improvements MS did on the metro start.

It seems that they want to dig their own grave. Windows 8 is already a disaster in terms of user experience and many don't plan to go beyond Win7, so it's not logical that the next Windows empathizes even more with an user-hostile interface. Of course, for tablets it may be good, but that's a substantially different thing to even compare.

"Killing" the desktop in Windows ¿¿¿9??? is directly closing the doors to half the Windows user base, which have to either stick to XP/7 (which MS tries to avoid) or to migrate to Linux/Mac (which MS tries to avoid). It makes no sense to me. In addition to play games or post in Facebook, people uses computer to work, to get job done and to be productive, and MANY of them don't simply want to battle the metro start menu for using a simple program or open a file, which everyone knows (or knew) how to do.

BTW, who choose the codename "blue"? It must be THE most feared word in Windows
