House committee to amend CISPA in secret, again

Quote:
As was the case last year when members of the committee amended the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) the first time around — the bill, dubbed a "privacy killer" by online activists and privacy groups, will once again be amended in a veil of secrecy.

According to the committee's spokesperson Susan Phalen (via The Hill), these secret hearings are not uncommon and "sometimes they'll need to bounce into classified information and go closed for a period of time to talk."

They'll keep trying.
They're counting on people eventually giving up.

Follow the money.
These bills aren't about National Security.
The groups that want these bills passed have got plenty of (your) money to "donate" to politician re-election stockpiles.

Here I go again.
1. The Intelligent Committees in Congress having secret sessions is normal.
2. Hopefully the intelligent members of the Intelligent Committees will be intelligent enough to separate classified and non-classified materials.
Then have a open sessions for the non-classified materials.
I do know that this has not always happened as smoothly as we would like.
3. If the Intelligent Committees does error I hope it is on the side of keep this nations secrets secret. The people have a right to know but not the right to know everything.
4.George Washington had secrets and England, France, Spain, Germany and probably others had spies.
5.This is not a new way of doing things.
One must keep their cards close to their vest.
