My mate walked into the room when that was playing. I pointed to the screen and said "That man runs Microsoft"... heads were shaken.

He missed the second part of that "Who said sit down!?"
which was "before you give yourself an injury"

And why wouldn't he "I love this company"?
After all it's not done for free...

    As for the dance around!!!!!!!!
Big deal, He's just revving up the troops, and himself, a bit of a "Ra Ra" show at the beginning.
Most presenters do it in some way or another.

Only time will tell if he's just a "in your Face" "Ra Ra" show boy, or there is something useful in his mind.

As a CEO, I wouldn't want it on my resume that I threw W7 and desktops both under the bus for W8.

    Hi there
If I were getting paid even a smidgen of what Mr Ballmer is getting I don't think I'd care two monkeys -- I'd enjoy my money and find the nearest Golf Course. !!

And don't forget - such is the way of corporations these days that even if you get fired you walk away with a HUGE "Bonus" so you can't lose whatever happens. Also with a few million dollars (US) in the Bank would you honestly even THINK of working for somebody else again.

    Cheers

Not really if they adopt an Android OS then Apple is Doomed I use my Android now and tablets linking it to windows Homegroup it's not as bad as you think Lady just have to give it a little time
What M$ device has been as successful as others of the same type?

There smartphones to name one and there touch screen 8 tablets all the of them are similar and I see tons of people using windows phones and my Android mirrors windows 8 UI so they do work just have to know how to make it work for you it's a whole learning process

8 isn't that bad and neither there UI I just learn to accept it and that is what there going to do if we like it or not

Really? I have never seen anyone with a Windows phone or a Windows tablet out in the real world. I saw a Nokia Lumia 920 Wndows phone in a Radio Shack the other day (first time ever seeing a Windows phone in person), but it was being ignored, the people looking at the phones were all looking at the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note II Android phones.

No doubt you're right about that, but I still wouldn't want W8 as my legacy. LOL
