Mozilla announced on Tuesday that Firefox 23, the latest version of its browser, will not support the HTML tag blink. The blink HTML tag allows Web site owners to make text start blinking. I use the blink tag for the PM notifications on EF
What next, they'll block out use of comic sans or some other thing that doesn't do anything but please people with too much free time who worry about nothing?
Call me when they actually so something noteworthy, like make the browser take up less RAM and CPU to run(using 500 MB RAM on average with it, that's excessive)) or they actually fix that bug which switches you back to the first window if you use multiple windows- a bug they more than know about but won't work on.

I personally don't like blinks all over the place. I seen some avatars that do the blinking thing. I can't even read the post without getting a headache so I don't.
The blinks remind me of infections. Blink blink; tick here you won a free trip to Detroit.
There's a nifty extension called Remove It Permanently (RIP) that allows you to zap away blinks and other junk. I use it in conjunction with AdBlock to clean things up.
