I was able to download and install the 32bit Home Premium edition of 7 with ease two days ago. $30 for the upgrade was so worth it!

I'm still waiting for them to refund my money and reset my eligibility so I can download the professional edition. I just received an email today that said it can take up to 10 business days. I'm not in a hurry since I'm still running Ultimate (RC) for now so I'll just wait to see what happens.
They didn't lie, they just bent the truth because they are lazy and irresponsible, as the DigitalRiver package hangs up when upgrading to 64 bit, so technically it DOESN'T upgrade, except with a workaround. The workaround is to create the ISO and install from a DVD as posted above. The simple solution would have just been for them to provide the same Windows ISOs that everybody else gets.
glad i saw this post, i was going to try mine tonight. BUT, can i not use the retail disk i have for another machine (amazon pre-order sale) and just apply the product key purchased through Digital River?
i also found this helpful link about creating an iso out of the Digital River files:
How to make a DVD of that student-only Windows 7 you bought for $29.99
Are those of you who want the .iso file doing so for backup purposes? Or is it because you had trouble installing the OS when downloaded from Digital River?
I would do both... just cruise through some of the posts that have been made about the problems with Digital River... It may have been cheaper, but....
i want the iso so i can burn to disk and do a clean install, and also have the back up disk of it.
