It's a great OS and I hardly ever boot into Vista anymore, but it's not quite ready for prime time. A few more months of fixing this and tweaking that will do it a world of good.

I first heard this stuff on Windows Weekly and TWiT a couple of weeks ago. And honestly I think the proponents of this are on the cheese.

As much as I like Windows 7, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to get it right. Even delay it if a major northbridge/video card hardware component manufacturer (AMD, Intel, nVidia) doesn't have their act straight in the driver department.

I'll be installing W7 in two weeks. But, from what I've heard, I don't think it's ready to be released at all. It needs much more optimization and bug fixing.

Yes, I agree. Wait and iron out a few more bugs. Not everything works in 7, but from what I've seen, it's going to be a good one!

Wow this person is crazy. Its like the guy wants Microsoft to fail. You cant release W7 for 3 reasons:
    1. Like vista people will say that W7 will be a early release and its not ready for the market.
    2. It just went Public Beta... that says alot
    3. I know alot of people rather have Microsoft take years to perfect the OS and alot of us are willing to wait

    No way,

If Microsoft were to release windows 7 now with all the bugs and issues we might as well just change the name to Vista II.

It's a very good operating system in beta form, it's gonna be great at RTM.

Never take the cake out of the oven 20 minutes early,,,,,,lol
yes never eat a cake thats not been done right.....

At least a Mac-head wants Windows to come out.

But alas, we all know, Windows 7, even being the pretty little bird it is, it's not ready.

Have to agree with everyone else.

I have had it installed for about a week, love what I see so far, but it still
needs some more testing to fix whatever bugs are found.

I haven't had a crash or even any real errors, other than Windows Explorer
dying out once and restarting itself, and that's it.

I think Microsoft finally has a good, stable OS on their hands. Don't muck it
    up trying to rush things.
