A good change is on the way

In the coming weeks you'll notice a change happening. SkyDrive will become OneDrive, an even better place to store and share your favorite things across all of your favorite devices. But don't worry, during this transition you'll still be able to access all of your photos, videos, documents, and files.

OneDrive. It's everything you love about SkyDrive and more.

And it's coming soon.

Trademark dispute with a UK company called "Sky". Microsoft lost the legal battle so they were more or less forced to rename Skydrive to something else not unlike the Metro->Modern UI switch.

I hope they fix the messy sharing options setting ('get a link' - what is that). It was a lot easier and more obvious on the 'old' skydrive.

It's a link you can email to someone to give access to selected file(s). Example: http://sdrv.ms/1fZURy8

I don't see any changes.

I agree get a link/ Shorten link...
I found it more straight forward to View original and copy and Paste
The only time I would use it if I wanted to share a folder with many files in it,
Cheers.

2013 - Disable "Skydrive Pro Browser Helper"?
Apparently this IE11 add-on installed as part of Office 2013. I do not know what it is/does, but I do know it's incompatible with IE11's Enhanced Protected Mode. As a result I keep getting notifications in IE11, so I'd like to disable this add-on. Having Enhanced Protected Mode enabled is the...

"Weak Signal" but Live TV works great as does tuner on the TV
I have a Windows 7 64 bit HTPC with a Hauppauge HVR-1800 tuner card. I am able to tune 9 digital channels (8VSB modulation) on my TV and one analog station NTSC modulation). The signal is very good. I am able to watch those same 9 ATSC channels in Windows Media Center with a very clear picture (no...

Random "Bad Pool Header" and "System Service Exception" BSODs
I have been getting these "Bad Pool Header" and "System Service Exception" BSODs for about a day now (the "Bad Pool Header" one tends to pop up more often then the other btw). I ran a registry cleaner which didn't work and ran memtest this morning and it showed that my memory was fine. The BSODs...

Easier way of using "Send to" option in WML without skydrive?

Anybody else have "old" computer gear that still works great?
Hi everyone. Like most people, I've been gradually upgrading my systems in order to keep up with the technology. But I have to admit, there's one part of my setup that I haven't changed in fourteen years -- my Yamaha YST-M15 speakers and subwoofer. I remember when I first bought them -- I...
