Do you get a free copy if you downloading the RC (legally) from Microsoft's website and got your key by using your hotmail account? Thanks!

I believe this is for those who were invited to the Connect beta program for Windows 7, could be wrong though.

Nope, you're correct: only for testers who were on Microsoft Connect.

So for being a special tester, you get the disc one month later than everyone else?

It was a choice - you could get it, and you still can, as an ISO download from Connect, since August 7th. (I did.)

Or choose a diffrent path, and get a nice, shiny, polished, wrapped and ornated disc like everyone else, only free.
