Classic oxymoron. If one has to be taught to use something, it's not intuitive. And, even with instruction, I did not find it easy to use.

    Hi there

If you read the "blurb" the download preview is primarily aimed at Enterprise W7 users who in the main are keyboard / mouse / classic desktop / laptop users.

That's why I'm surprised that there appears to be a negativity about this on this very Forum with people rabbiting on how desktop users don't need touch / mobile phone type apps on their desktops.

Ms actually has designed this as a "Better W7" than W7 - and W7 users shouldn't have any trouble in using their computers just like they do now.

I agree with Kari that with a bit of effort W8.1 can be made to work reasonably "W7 like" but again the real question is "Should they have to".

So all you Nay sayers --give the wretched thing a chance --you might actually like it !!!!!.

    Cheers

I gave Win 8 a chance, even had an IT tech friend walk me through it, and did not like it (more specifically the GUI and the flat, boring graphics). I agree that people shouldn't have to make Win 8 look like Win 7; it made far more sense to stay with Win 7 even though, other than the GUI and boring appearance, Win 8 is superior to Win 7.

The jury is still out on Win 9...er...10. I really do hope it works out but time will tell.

The name bothers me in a semi-OCD way. 9 comes after 8, not 10! It's madness! What's next, use random animals for each new version like barbarians?

That said, I'm curious on how intuitive (or annoying) Continuum will be.

Microsoft reveals Windows 10, Well this is awkward!-logo_mwdict.gifin·tu·i·tive: adjective \in-ˈtü-ə-tiv, -ˈtyü-\

Not exactly an ox·y·mo·ron: noun \ˌäk-sē-ˈmor-ˌän\

Are we having fun yet? I am

10 comes after 8 if you use base 9

Let's try not to upset the space-time Continuum (I don't believe that exists anyway...FWIW)

    I'll stop ... I promise

Key word: readily. Win 8 was anything but intuitive for most people, including me. XP was anything but intuitive for me to initially learn since my previous computer experience had been Commodore's Basic 8, mainframe dumb terminals, and NT (the fact the IT department at work mistakenly assumed us poor peons already knew the basics didn't help any). When I moved to Win 7 from XP, the transition was pretty much seamless (a pleasant surprise since I had been expecting a steep learning curve). Win 8...I never did grasp it, even with instruction.
