The worst thing about ie is it's compatibility view lists from Microsoft that download automatically,
Get rid of them and most sites display just find and load much faster
Unfortunately that's one of the quirks in 10TP and ie11 that triggers a default settings popup on restart
Installing Firefox pretty much killed that popup message

Otherwise ie is much faster than even Chrome and loading websites
Can't speak for gaming not interested in that usage,
Firefox is pretty slow still on my brief usage,
    Cheers.

    Interesting

Here is my speed test per browser that I installed using windows 7.

Using Free online browser speed test - SPEED BATTLE

    Firefox 34.0.5 is 871.24
    Seamonkey 2.31 is 860.71
Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.95m is 502.50
    I.E. is 433.96

Higher number equal better performance according to that site.

If that site is accurate on my windows 7 system, Firefox is the fastest with Internet Explorer being the slowest.
These internet speed test require 2 browser add-ons Java and flash usually,
None of which are built into Internet explorer and neither really care about Internet explorers abilities they usually hamper operation instead of helping,
Modern browsers don't need either to load a webpage,
If the site is old it will have flash content embedded in a way a visitor will need that add-on to see it,

Odd which Firefox is faster Chrome is usually the sponsor of these test,
They also usually use an interesting routing system to gauge the speed which all of the above is suspect to me :/

I don't need a internet speed test to tell me how fast a webpage loads it's an obvious observation of which Firefox usually looses badly,
Chrome I haven't used in quite some time

And I don't use weird named browsers.

The sponsor of that test, seems to be independent. I don't think this test includes Java or Flash.

I did it again just for firefox

    Calculate 78.77
    Store 744.73
    Render 61.13
    Total 884.63 overall.

Here what it says on the results page

SPEED-BATTLE measures online the speed of JavaScript in your browser and shows a comparison to previous visitors.

Questions, SPEED-BATTLE can give answers to:

Which browser is on my computer fastest in completing the SPEED-BATTLE test tasks?
Which operating system is faster when using the same computer and browser version?
Which computer is faster when using the same operating system and browser?

Test results depend on different parameters (like CPU, browser, plugins/addons, operating system, system memory, number and kind of processes running in parallel and many more). The test will give you a reference value for the performance of your soft- and hardware. For consistent results run it when all other activity of your computer is low.

SPEED-BATTLE is quick, for free and does not require any download or installation.
I use speed battle to determine which browsers to use the most on my system.

I was mostly referring to this test,
    What's your Internet Speed?
I did not even look at the one you posted,
These tests are really great way to pick up bugs
Test on if it makes you feel better or gives you some type of conclusion on which browser actually works best for your usage
    Cheers.

Not every webpage has malware. Why do you think I looked for the one that doesn't require software download or flash.

On those you link to, that your internet speed, not your browser speed. I am sure you know that. I was referring to my browser speed. On the internet speed, it is best to use your isp internet speed tester. Most companies have them.

Here is mine. I am on economy service though but it is still faster than dial-up.

Don't know how long that link will be up.

I could ask why do you need to gauge your browser when your sitting in front of it
Do you really need a third party to tell you want you already see ?
It's all good but no these sites could contain much worse than malware
Hopefully you have more Real time protection than just MSE if not :/
    Good luck with that

Where did I say that (In bold)? I said I used to decided which browser to use the most. I didn't say I use Firefox all the time. Some stuff only works in I.E. or other browsers. I do the browser speed test for each upgrade per browser.

Internet service providers own speed test wouldn't include malware or something worse. If you are that paranoid, everything you sent unencrypted and even some encrypted over the internet goes to the government. No they don't read every bit of it, the computer looks for certain key words. Saw this on PBS (PBS is called Public Broadcast system, it is a television network in the U.S.) or the travel channel tv network. Then they got to determine if you are joking, doing a general discussion, college report or doing/planing on something bad.

Me just using MSE is a long story. For the recorded, I do use Macrium Reflect, Mini partition wizard, Spybot S&D old version with current updates, don't like the new version. I don't like malwarebytes recent version, the automatic quarantine option for free user can't be disabled. I want a program that gives you options and also works when you internet is down or offline.

Wat? I deny nothing, I never said anything apart from commenting about certain posts being completely stereotypical stigma.
