they seem to have fixed it without going back to the vista system - so should still be less intrusive.

The article is right, though, about people just clicking ok and not paying any attention - but it's your own fault if you do that.

you pay your nickel, and take your chances. life is all about making a long series of choices, and living with them. the general public at large I would put it to you cannot put a pic of their dog on their templated web page first time out of the blocks. i personally would like to see enhanced warning, not just the ms subtle advisory, but a two liner worst case warning of potential consequences given specific user input. i'm overworked as it is.

    Hi ITTech

One thing I've learned in this business over the years is, as with any other to be honest, Never complain you have too much work

Though I can understand your feelings with some of the users that are out there

i guess my point is, a dialogue box written over the tech head of the average user invokes..."well, i don't know....." click. today reloading an op sys runs around a hundred, unfortunately, that is significantly cheaper than for me to attempt to survey and correct what has gone south. the vast majority of users out there, can't load their own op sys either, never mind attempting to get their stuff off before they do.

I run my own repair business & I have found that people are just as dumb as dirt, I love them to death & they are my customer but whoa, some of these people need major technology training or something. I started to charge for on phone tech support for matters that were simple & that I knew the customer could handle otherwise I would have to go out to their home.

After helping so many people in these forums I'm seriously thinking of doing the same thing.:)
