Windows 7: Cost for continued Windows XP support said to double this year

My MS VM XP has been idle for several months but when I fired it up yesterday, MS had over 100 updates for it along with IE-8. Most of them were security updates. I was actually pretty happy to see that. What I could see. The old XP menus are getting harder to see.
