Why do I get the feeling that the person that was in charge of producing this video was a female?
Read more:Microsoft has released a new video on its work oriented account to share its vision of the future. It's all about massive, thin displays, holograms and cool, connected gadgets. There's even a tablet device shaped like a book.
It's an interesting look at how the company sees technology really having an impact on the lives of millions, as well as how such advances do not appear a far-fetched or something pulled out of a recent Sci-Fi movie. We already have smart wearables, thinner screens and the beginnings of AI and holograms, as well as a unified operating system, Windows 10.
Of course, there are many obstacles to overcome before we achieve many of the things shown in the presentation. Microsoft is certainly attempting to be first in reaching said goals, however. The company's HoloLens technology is a perfect example of the company looking at ways to push the boundaries of tech.

Such as ... who needs this junk, anyway?
Microsoft, what, no self-driven electric flying car?
What I didn't see were mice and keyboards. I can see a lot of repetitive motion injuries in that future. My shoulders would be killing me within an hour if I had to work that way, not to mention my feet and back after having to stand very long. I can see a lot of ADA violation lawsuits being filed.
What really disturbed me was the predominance of Chinese and Chinese scenery in that video. Is M$ collaborating or outsourcing with China?
I agree. I maybe old fashion but I wouldn't want a video chat shown in the video. (Where she was talking to her Dad). The only exception to that would not be having to go to the doctors office. I would use only for that if my medical insurance paid 100% for that service.
Not everybody lives in houses, some live in apartments. A lot of houses and apartment wouldn't be that fancy. What we need to concentrate on is technology to help feed everyone for free like the food replicator in star trek and somehow get rid of poverty worldwide.
