Gee I hope that also applies to new 10 oem's instead of just upgrading offers.
I doubt I'll ever wipe out 7 just for 10 where's the fun in that.
Um, hope "what" also applies to new 10 OEM installs? Did I miss something?

I still don't follow? If its a new Windows 10 OEM install there is no upgrade involved? Windows 10 is already installed. Maybe the "OEM" in your statement is confusing me? Do you mean buying Windows 10 outright, and hoping its also discounted? That would normally be a Retail version not an OEM version. When you say OEM like that I think Dell, HP, etc.

Gotcha now. If they want that one billion devices, they may have to sweeten the pot, so that may happen.

Yes, That's what they call it now. If you had said that originally, I would have clued in right away. I figured out what you meant to say eventually so no harm no foul. I bought OEM from Tiger Direct when I purchased Windows 7 for my home built desktop PC. I am my own tech Support so I didn't need to buy Retail. That was before I was an MVP. Now I get free product codes and can run whatever I want for evaluation.

Which do you mean, Type in key for windows 10 install or type in key to keep windows 7? I did some experimenting and did use the key once. When digital rivers was available, I downloaded the 32 bit isos for windows 7. I used that for awhile before deciding to do another clean install and go back to 64 bit windows 7 using the dell re-installation disk (That dell sent me). My motherboard was also replaced under warranty. The 16 bit software didn't work to well on my system. I may have to do a phone activation.

I have tested the 32 bit of windows 10. It seems 16 bit software work a little better on that system, do not know why.

I always write the key down when I first get my system.
