    Yes, I know but I can't connect to the Internet so I have to be wireless.

    It might be best if you haven't already ask on tenforums with details about your network
    As far as a guess would be the new wifi stuff in 10 just makes it easier without telling someone a password and them entering it manually,
    Someone existing on the network would still have to grant access and I would assume 10 would popup and ask you if you wanted to grant access to that device before 10 would

    But yes the feature is weirdly interesting because there is some wild friend and friend of friend sharing associated with it too

    During the setup install of Windows 10 if you choose to personalize , all the switch tabs for Wifi can be enabled or disabled to tell what kind of access others will have.

    So, everyone popping up at your place will not have access to your network unless you have enabled a sharing access for the devices of your friend's mobile phones or outlook mail.

    Yes, you'll have to fine tune this setting!

    No they need password for access. Did it with friends phone 2 days ago.
