Level3 suffering major outages; effects are felt worldwide

Quote:
You may wonder what the heck Level3 is, but it is a major backbone of the Internet based in the US. Many services and even ISPs rely on it to ensure major parts of the world are connected; in fact everything from Yahoo Mail, PSN, Xbox Live, Outlook, BT, Twitch, HBO Go, Craigslist, and other networks and services rely on it.

Level 3 Communications, based in Broomfield, Colorado, provides Internet service via their Tier 1 network to Internet carriers in Europe, Asia, and North America. Somebody mentioned a short while back that downloads of Windows 10 just might overload the net.

When you give free candy away the line to the candy store gets very long and wide. Put on top of that all the people trying to download Windows 7 so they can come back from Windows 10.

I'm doing a Clean Install of Windows 7 at this time and I have been doing over 200 updates for 4 hours and 18 min. I'm a little over half way.

**As a side note:
Thank you Brink for your tutorial for Clean Install.

I still use it for a guideline when doing installs.
A little brain refresher.
